Public Service Association Conference
The theme for the 2009 PSA Annual Women's conference was Balance Brings Everything to Life.
The conference recognised the increasing demands placed on working women as today's pace of life continues to increase. The particular challenges faced by working women experiencing domestic violence were particularly highlighted. Family and domestic violence researcher, Dr Rochelle Braaf, outlined to the conference the important role that can be played by the workplace in supporting women in such situations.
The PSA acknowledged the importance of this issue by purchasing white ribbons for all conference attendees to wear on November 25 in support of the White Ribbon Foundation and White Ribbon Day.
